BEACH TUČEPI

With a length of almost 4 kilometers, the beach in Tučepi is one of the longest beaches on the Makarska Riviera. The pebbly beach, which turns into sandy in places, is lapped by the impeccably clean and clear turquoise blue sea. The western part of the beach begins with small sandy bays carved by the sea in the rocky coast. The people of Tučeplja call that part the King's Grove for a reason. If you arrive early enough, you are guaranteed peace and quiet. The stone coast is joined by a beach at the foot of the former hotel "Jadran". favorite among local residents, as well as guests with children. South of the hotel "Jadran" stretches out a gravel belt, wide in places and several tens of meters covered with centuries-old pine forest. These are parts of Tučep beach known as Slatina, Dračevice, Ratac. In the central part of the coast, there is a beautiful harbor in Tučep, which, in addition to local people, is also used by a large number of foreign sailors. Finally, the end part that touches the neighboring municipality of Podgora is known as Dračevac. There, under the shadows of the pines, there are frequent naturist visitors, as well as everyone else who loves this untouched part of nature. In addition to the extremely clean and clear sea, the Tučep beach will delight you with its accessibility, even on the hottest summer days and the biggest crowds. BEACHES ON THE MAKARA RIVIERA:

The Makarska Riviera is an area of Central Dalmatia that stretches from the bay of Vrulja in the northwest to the town of Gradac in the southeast. We call the length of about 50 kilometers of coastline the Makarska Riviera. The Makarska Riviera includes the following places: Brela, Bast, Baška Voda, Promajna, Bratuš, Krvavica, Veliko Brdo, Makar, Kotišina, Tučepi, Podgora, Drašnice, Igrane, Živogošće, Drvenik, Zaostrog, Podaca, Brist and Gradac. This entire area is bordered by the mountain Biokovo and the Adriatic Sea, which occasionally touch each other, giving the area a very attractive appearance. Due to the action of the sea on the coastal belt, many small and large bays with beautiful pebble beaches have been created, so anyone who visits this area very quickly understands why the Makarska Riviera is called the Pearl of the Adriatic.

BEACH MAKARSKA

Many people rightly consider Makarska beach to be the real pearl of the Adriatic. Known throughout the world as the center of events during the summer months, few can leave anyone indifferent. In the northwestern part, there are a number of small beaches that have formed in rocky coves and which, in addition to their unusual beauty, provide a slightly more intimate space for rest and relaxation. The central part consists of a spacious and several kilometers long pebble beach, partly covered by centuries-old pine trees. Already from early morning, in the heart of the season, there begins a pulsation rarely seen on the Adriatic. Thousands of tourists, Makarani, sellers, restaurateurs - they are all here at the inevitable summer meeting place. Those who came looking for a bit of refreshment and company will surely enjoy the bounty of the sea and rest on the pebbly coast of the most famous beach in the Adriatic. The rocky coast that stretches from the disco-bar "Plaža" then to the lighthouse "St. Petar" and further on the homonymous peninsula, it is a real refuge from the hustle and bustle for connoisseurs and lovers of clear sea. The landscaped plateaus long ago took away this corner from nature and dedicated it to bathers, while a little further on, the sharp stone shore hides the intimacy of naturist bathers. Facilities on the Makarska beach will satisfy even the most demanding tastes. Water park for children, bungee jumping, pedal boats, jet skis, paragliders, boat and speedboat rentals, there's nothing there. Changing rooms and toilets are almost at every step. The need to limit water consumption in the middle of the season influenced the fact that the showers are paid, but there are more than enough of them. If you don't want to take your beach equipment with you, you can rent sunbeds and umbrellas at affordable prices in very attractive locations. Several entrances to the sea are adapted for people with disabilities. On the beach, a permanent rescue service is organized at easily visible observation posts. The catering offer on the beach works almost 24 hours a day. Many cafes, restaurants, bars, pizzerias will satisfy everyone's taste, but of course also the pocket. For everyday needs, you will find many grocery stores, many stands with fruits and vegetables or beach props nearby. From drinking morning coffee, while the first swimmers are conquering the beach, to the ultimate party in one of the lounges and cocktail bars that starts in the afternoon mistral and ends somewhere far in the morning, everyone will find their own corner and their own experience of summer. As a special curiosity, you will notice the electric train that calmly makes its way through the constant crowd. With a low price, you can save yourself a walk from the city center to Cvitačka, Blac, Ramova, the farthest beaches in the western part of the city. With the construction of the breakwater, the port of Makarska got a new place for bathers who gravitate to the eastern part of the city. Once reserved exclusively for the most persistent enthusiasts, the area around the hotel "Osejava" and disco club "Deep" today it is becoming an increasingly interesting gathering place. For the bravest, and many Makarans will tell you - for true connoisseurs, the area of the Osejava peninsula is the calmest and cleanest bathing area in Makarska. After a few kilometers of walking, you will reach the real jewel of the Makarska Riviera - Nugal beach. Also known as a gathering place for naturists, nudists, and generally swimmers with slightly more liberal attitudes, it will enchant you with its almost intimate peace, but also with its incredibly clean blue sea. Accessible only by foot or by boat from the sea side, this beach, surrounded by steep cliffs and a dense pine forest, will remain in everyone's memory forever.

BEACH VRULJA

The northern approach to the Riviera leads through Dubac, where the mountain descends most sharply into the sea. If you come by car, the view of the nearby islands and the underwater source called Vrulja will reveal only a part of this natural spectacle. Only those who dare to go down to the sea on foot along steep and narrow paths or those who have chosen a more sensible approach to the sea, will get to know the hidden beaches. Pebble beaches only a few meters wide, surrounded by high rocks, are real jewels of silence and a meditative environment.

BEACH BRELA

There is a promenade along the entire length of Brela that will take you to its most famous beaches. From Jakiruša in the north, through Stomarica, Šćit and Podrać, you will be followed by a multitude of small sandy and pebble beaches covered with pine forests, and of course clean and clear sea. If you continue along the famous "Brela Stone", a natural attraction and trademark of Brela, you will reach Punta Rata, a beach that connoisseurs, such as Forbes magazine, classify as one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe, and even in the world. If it seems to you that many people discovered this beauty before you that day, you can continue across the beach of the "Maestral" hotel. to Soline beach. Once a famous fishing post, today Soline in the shade of its pines provides shelter from the sun to many tourists and hosts. The promenade leads you further south along the rocky coast to the beaches next to the "Berulia" hotel. If you happen to be here in the calm of the day, stop and take with you the memory of an unforgettable sunset over the island of Brač and the caress of the mistral. The beaches of Breljan, in addition to their exceptional beauty, also offer everything a visitor needs for a pleasant time: a wide selection of water sports (water skiing, parasailing, rent-a-boat, jet ski,...). Many restaurants, cafes, bars are hidden among the pines. In addition to all this, the people of Brel keep an eye on the measure, so the "Blue Flag" flag hangs over the beach, a sign of sustainable management and management of the sea and the coastal zone.

BEACH BAŠKA VODA

A large, pebble beach stretches along the entire length of Baška Voda, except for the coastal part near the center of the town, which has been transformed into an imposing marina. From Ikovec in the north to Baški Polje in the south, under the canopy of centuries-old pine trees, many tourists find everything they need for a pleasant summer vacation. For many, bathing in the morning peace, when the smells and colors are most intense, is unforgettable, while for others, the daily hustle and bustle will be more interesting. However, everyone will agree that the touch of the coast and the sea is the most beautiful at dusk, when the evening lights come on and while you are sitting in one of the many restaurants or cafes, trying to preserve the last pictures of the unique view of the sea and the islands in the distance. At the beach, visitors will find a large selection of beach props, showers, changing cabins, and sanitary facilities. Ramps for entering the sea of special care for people with disabilities. Baška Voda itself, as well as its beaches, are favorites among family guests who often return to these shores.

BEACH PROMAJNA

Under the shade of pine trees, there is a long white pebble beach, very popular among families with children. With clean, transparent sea and preserved environment, the beach offers everything the guest needs for a pleasant stay, from restaurants to beach props. Since there is no parking, the beach is intended mainly for guests who have decided to spend the summer in Promajna.

BEACH BRATUŠ

The former fishing village of Bratuš is known as an ideal place for families with children, because there is very little traffic in the place, and the noise is incomparably less than in other places. The beach is pebbly and only about a hundred meters long, but due to limited vehicle access, it is not very crowded, especially in pre-and post-season. Unlike most coastal towns, there is not much natural shade in Bratuš, and only three catering facilities offer refreshments.

BEACH KRVAVICA

In addition to the large sports harbor, the coastal part of Krvavica offers visitors newly created beaches along the breakwater, but old visitors still choose the beaches along the pine forest from the harbor south towards Makarska. Big pebbles and larger stones are not to everyone's liking, but hosts and guests here find an environment devoid of the hustle and bustle of summer in more famous tourist places. To the south of Makarska, away from the roads, there are also the most famous FKK beaches, the favorite gathering places of naturists, Ćurilo and Ramova. At the bottom of a restless stone hill, in small coves between boulders, you will meet true lovers of untouched nature, which displays all its splendor there. Many boats are just proof that this corner and the hosts keep it to themselves.

BEACH PODGORA

The beaches of Podgora extend from the already mentioned beach on the far western part, which is called Dračevac and which connects Podgora with Tučepi, or separates it, as some would say. This impressive landscape is followed by a series of bays carved into the stone coast, a favorite FKK gathering place for naturists, which the hosts call Garma. If you are lucky and manage to find your place here under the summer sun, you will understand that there is a valid reason that has been attracting people from all over the world to this region for decades. The touch of sea and sky, beaches and pine trees are combined into an intimate theater without the summer bustle typical of other beaches closer to populated areas. The paved walkway will take you across the beaches of Plišivac and Porat to the center of Podgora. A series of old renowned hotels "Podgorka", "Mediteran", and "Aurora", which adjoin the coastal part of Podgora, divide the narrow area of beaches from the local port, and further south to the beaches of Uzorita and Sutikla. The strip of pebble beaches continues to the village of Čaklje and the beach of the same name. In addition to the rich offer of restaurants, cafes, bars and pizzerias, Podgora will delight you with very limited traffic, which is an advantage recognized by family tourists. Clear sea, white sand, pine crowns are a frame that will satisfy even the most picky. The offer of deckchairs, props at affordable prices as well as showers will allow you to have a pleasant and stress-free vacation,

BEACH DRAŠNICE

The village of Drašnice is located at the foot of the Biokovo mountain, in the part that is closest to the sea with its steep slopes. Steep coasts have formed barely accessible oases that reveal their charms to many enthusiasts. The western part begins with the beaches called Vrulja, not without reason. There, in front of small beaches, framed by a steep rocky coast, there is a view of the flawlessly clear blue sea. The morning calmness of the surface is disturbed by occasional whirlpools and currents of water, because this is the place where the underground water springs up, collected somewhere deep in the heart of Biokovo. The seclusion of these beaches was recognized by naturists, but you can tell by the anchored boats that they are also a favorite refuge of local people. The central coastal part of the Drašnice settlement is connected by a promenade, so the beaches in this part are popular with guests with children. South of the local harbor stretches the central beach with the usual beach offer.

BEACH IGRANE

A macadam road leads you from the center of the village towards the western part and beautiful hidden beaches. Apart from Djevičanska beach, the area further to Drašnice hides beautiful sandy and pebble beaches in its hidden coves. They are often vaulted like small caves, because the action of the sea on the porous coast here creates imaginative landscapes in constant change. If we take the promenade from the center of the village to the east, we pass along a strip of beautiful pebble coast. The players invest a lot of effort to preserve and enhance this part of the coast, which is under constant attack by the restless sea. In addition to numerous catering facilities, the beaches of Igrana offer umbrellas and sunbeds for rent in case of rain. If you find a place to park in the large public parking lot, the simplicity and originality of this settlement will surely win you over.

BEACH ŽIVOGOŠĆE

Continuing to the southern part of Igran, a series of small secluded beaches stretches along a narrow strip of poorly accessible coastline. If you take the asphalted road that connects Igrane and Živogošće in the summer months, you will notice many vehicles of those who find these secretive, carefree places a refuge from crowded beaches. Pebble beach Porat stretches out next to the settlement itself, and Nimfa beach stretches to the south of the settlement next to the hotel complexes. This beach stretches on a narrow strip and is fringed with large pebbles, it is a favorite meeting place of hotel guests. If you take the path from Nimfa beach to the south, you will reach rocky shores with small beaches, a favorite meeting place of local naturists. The path takes you past a Roman inscription carved into the rock, the so-called Epigram of Licinian, praising the source of fresh water.

BEACH MALA DUBA

The rocky coast, which connects Živogošće and Mala Duba, is sometimes difficult to access from the land side, but for true enthusiasts this is not a problem. The natives agree to a compromise and arrive on these shores by boat. There is a beautiful pebble beach next to the Mala Duba settlement itself. Low traffic makes this place ideal for a family holiday with children. This beach is joined by a rocky coast that is not easily accessible, and a little further south it turns into a small cove and one of the most attractive beaches on the Makarska Riviera, the Velika Duba cove. The multitude of vehicles parked along the highway are only proof of the popularity of this location. If you continue along the Adriatic road further along the coast, you will come to the village of Živogošće Blato. Like most coastal towns, this one is limited by parking space, so the beautiful beach that stretches from the center of the village to the autocamp on the southern edge, provides a peaceful and pleasant environment for the hosts and their guests.

BEACH DRVENIK

The numerous bays that line the rocky coast from Blato to Drvenik hide small, sheltered oases for lovers of naturism. Accessible only to connoisseurs of the narrow paths that lead from the main road, these little accessible beaches are separated from the summer pulsation and are reserved for recluses seeking peace and pure nature. But the rocky coast goes further south, revealing some bays with beautiful pebble beaches such as Vira and Duba. And so all the way to the settlement of Drvenik - Donja Vala. A beautiful pebble beach stretches almost along its entire length. As in other settlements along the coast, there is a tourist offer for every pocket and taste. The next wave, called Gornja Vala, frames a small village, ideal for a quieter summer vacation, especially appreciated by family guests.

BEACH ZAOSTROG

From the neighboring Drvenik in the west to the very center of Zaostrog, there is a stone coast, accessible by narrow paths from the Magistrala or, as the hosts prefer, by boat from the sea side. An ideal environment for lovers of naturism. However, during the summer months, small beaches like Lucica can be cramped for all those who wish to do so, so most go to safety and choose the central beach in Zaostrog. Along the nearly 2-kilometer long pebble beach, there is a promenade from the center of the town to the south. Many small shops, restaurants, pastry shops, kiosks offer guests everything they need for a pleasant vacation. The traffic through the place is of low intensity, so it gives this place an advantage for family vacations. In the southernmost part of the village is Kapeć, a small narrow pebble beach, a favorite destination of guests from the nearby camping site.

BEACH PODACA & BRIST

From Kapeća in the westernmost part, a narrow rocky strip of coast stretches all the way to the pebble beach and the area called Viskovića vala. The village itself is located on a narrow strip of stone coast, which gives it an interesting Mediterranean atmosphere. To the south of the settlement there is a long narrow strip of coast that connects Podaca and Brist. Among the small stone shelters that form intimate pebble beaches, locals and their guests like to sunbathe. But above all, the color and purity of the sea will touch everyone's heart.

BEACH GRADAC

In the western part of the settlement, west of the hotel "Labineca" begins a kilometer long narrow strip of gravel coast and leads all the way to Gradac. The settlement itself is located around a small peninsula and further south down the coast. The view of this settlement is very attractive, especially if you come along the Adriatic road from the direction of Makarska. Along the entire length of the settlement, we follow a predominantly narrow strip of gravel coast, more than a kilometer long, all the way to the area called Vodice. With many catering establishments, a rich tourist offer, guests have at their disposal everything that makes their vacation pleasant. Low traffic in the resort, as well as accommodation right next to the beaches, make this whole area a favorite for guests who come on vacation with small children.
